Growing up in the same Dutch city and even attending the same school, I teamed up with the owners of Morus Café—brothers Francesco and Giuseppe—to film a commercial on a scale our small city had never seen before. And we did it all on a minimal budget, powered by creativity and a lot of fun.
From our very first meeting, we knew the story had to take us to Italy—not just anywhere, but to the capital of Sardinia, where their parents were born. I cast one of my actors from Samen.PL, and we flew to Italy to shoot an ad that, to this day, remains one of my favorite projects. I still haven’t met anyone who didn’t smile while watching it.
